Protect Your Data! On October 2nd, 2006 all faculty and staff eID passwords will be required to meet the following strong password requirements:
Your eID strong password must meet these four criteria:
- Be 7-12 positions long
- Include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number that is not at the end of the password
- Contain no spaces
- Contain no special characters (e.g., #, >, %, @, *, etc.)
If your eID password does not meet these standards beginning October 2nd, 2006 you will be denied access to systems such as Blackboard, VCU Mail Anywhere, myVCU portal, and many other online University systems that use the eID until you set your new strong password.

All Banner Forms (INB) users must set a new eID password that meets the following criteria before logging in:
