Continuing Pharmacy Education

The Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia (VCU/MCV) School of Pharmacy is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) to provide continuing pharmaceutical educational programs.

Our goal is to improve health care delivery in the Commonwealth of Virginia by identifying, developing, and promoting educational programs that will maintain, enhance and expand the competencies of pharmacy practitioners. To this end, VCU/MCV is committed to providing quality CE programs, to include (but not limited to) annual conferences, video conferencing, satellite broadcasts, independent learning opportunities (home studies), regularly scheduled lectures, grand rounds, case studies and/or community-based presentations.

Annually, thousands of pharmacy practitioners and other health care professionals participate in VCU/MCV sponsored and co-sponsored continuing education activities. Because of rapidly expanding knowledge, new technologies and progressive demands on health care professionals, each activity is designed to identify and meet educational needs in pharmaceutical practices and health care delivery. Careful attention is also given to personal needs and to the well being of all participants.
