GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
HOW TO MAKE A GIFT
Ways to Give
Regardless of the amount, every gift is important to the School of Education as it affirms the important role that the school plays in learning, discovery, and service to society. Your support can help: attract and retain exceptional faculty, support research, fund scholarships to deserving students, and improve programs.
(If you would like information regarding our scholarship programs, please see under the students section in the School of Education's web site.)
Gifts may be made through an outright contribution of cash, securities, real estate or other real property, as well as through deferred (or planned) giving arrangements such as bequests and trusts. We also welcome your pledge. Pledges may be fulfilled over a period of up to five years.
There are many ways to show your support for the School of Education. Please make a gift today! If you need more information about ways to give that are not listed below please contact Magnus H. Johnsson.

How to Give Securities
Gifts of stock and bonds are welcomed at the School of Education; however, these gifts require special planning and consultation with your professional financial advisor and the advancement staff of the school. The University recommends that donors who have decided to make a gift of stock contact the VCU Foundation.
Gifts of appreciated securities typical carry benefits not associated with gifts made by check, cash or credit card.
How to Know if You or Your Spouse's Company Have a Matching Gift Program
Many companies encourage philanthropy by matching their employees’ gifts to universities, such as Virginia Commonwealth University. Some will even double or triple the amount, maximizing the impact of your gift. Please refer to your company’s human resource department for matching gift forms.
