Rodney Hall

Hi! I’m Rodney Hall, associate director for operations and processing in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. I earned my undergraduate degree in marketing from the VCU School of Business in 1998. I left VCU to pursue a master’s degree in higher education and multiculturalism while working at Centreville High School in the Student Services Department. I spent several years as the director of recruitment for the VCU School of Engineering before joining the admissions team in 2007.

I love speaking to students, parents and counselors about the exciting things VCU has to offer. We are a university on the move. Besides our many great academic programs such as engineering, art, mass communications, business and the health sciences, we are improving many of the resources for students around campus. These resources include a new School of Business and Engineering facility, a new residence hall opening in the fall of 2008, and an expanded and upgraded recreational facility — the Cary Street Gym —scheduled to open spring 2010.

Because VCU is a metropolitan university in the state’s capital, our students have many job and internships resources, as well as a number of recreational opportunities. VCU’s interdisciplinary and collaborative programs are reflective of the local and global world, providing our students with valuable real-world experience inside and outside the classroom.

I personally invite you to become a part of our exciting and growing university. Although our devoted professors provide the education and instruction, students like you provide the diversity, character and spirit that is VCU! Feel free to e-mail me with questions at rdhall@vcu.edu.

Come visit us and see for yourself!
