Responsibilities: Overseeing the daily operations and functions of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, talking with prospective students and their parents about the admissions process, and serving as a liaison between the office and other departments and offices within the university.
High school: Thomas Jefferson High School in Richmond, Va.
College: Bachelor of Arts in History from Northwestern University and a master’s of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University

What brought you to VCU?
I grew up in Richmond and returned here after going to college in the Midwest. After college my first job was here at VCU on the MCV Campus. I’ve been here ever since.
Name three adjectives that describe the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Ever-changing, intense, challenging.
What do you enjoy most about meeting prospective VCU students?
I love to talk with students about the college application process. There is so much excitement around the process, but there is also confusion. I like being able to help make the process less confusing.
What’s one thing you don’t travel without?
A book.
What’s your favorite place on campus?

What are you reading right now?
I’m taking a class this semester, so I’m reading “Using Multivariate Statistics.” Honestly, I wish I were reading something more fun.
What’s your perfect Sunday afternoon?
Going to the dog park with my husband and our dogs and then returning home to read a good book or watch a movie.
What do you order at Starbucks?
Tall cappuccino with skim.
Who inspires you?
My husband.
